Shop, Drop & Roll with a Firefighter Toy Drive Event with MDFR First Responders
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue (MDFR), in partnership with Metro-Dade Firefighters Local 1403 and Camillus House, will host a toy drive event this Saturday at the Walmart Supercenter, located in Doral, FL.
In the spirit of the holiday season, the Shop, Drop & Roll with a Firefighter event brings together local firefighters to assist families facing financial hardship in shopping for toys for their children. This event provides a unique and heartwarming experience for everyone involved and demonstrates the bond between first responders and the community, emphasizing the importance of unity and support during challenging times. During the event, donations of new, unwrapped toys will be accepted onsite.
MDFR will also be accepting new, unwrapped toys during the ‘Toy For Kids’ Toy Drive at all MDFR Fire Stations through December 25. Click here to find a fire station near you.
This event would not have been possible without the unwavering support and contributions made by Walmart, who contributed $5,000 to the Dade County Association of Firefighter Charities, Inc.
"The families we serve through our Homeless Prevention Program struggle to keep the lights on and a roof over their heads, so to have MDFR and Metro-Dade Firefighters Local 1403 bring joy to the faces of children in families who are facing eviction is a beautiful act of kindness,” said Hilda M. Fernandez, Camillus House CEO. “What a way to kick off December and brighten their day and also give them hope for tomorrow.”
Please confirm attendance by email [email protected]
