Commissioner Cohen Higgins and MDEAT produce economic empowerment forum with distinguished panel on February 28
Miami-Dade County Commissioner Danielle Cohen Higgins and the Miami-Dade Economic Advocacy Trust (MDEAT) are pleased to welcome Rodney B. Herenton as a distinguished panelist for the upcoming 'A Conversation About Wealth Creation' empowerment forum scheduled for the evening of Wednesday, February 28, at Perez Art Museum Miami (1103 Biscayne Blvd.). Free registration is available at www.bit.ly/MDEATevents.
"MDEAT is thrilled to partner with Commissioner Cohen Higgins to provide attendees with invaluable insights into building pathways to prosperity," said Bill Diggs, MDEAT's executive director. "Rodney B. Herenton represents a new generation of investment leaders committed to generating wealth and power for our community."
Herenton is the founder and co-CEO of Channing Capital Management, LLC, a Chicago-based investment management boutique that manages more than $3.5 billion for institutional investors. The Morehouse College alumnus brings over 18 years of investment management experience to the panel. His expertise includes serving as the first vice-president of the Private Fund Group at Morgan Keegan & Company, Inc. and holding positions at Bear Stearns and Lehman Brothers. Throughout his career, Herenton has earned a reputation for his insights into mergers and acquistion deal execution, equity and high-yield bond transactions, and corporate finance. He is also an MBA graduate of the prestigious Harvard Business School.
Moderated by County Commissioner Cohen Higgins, the trailblazing Herenton will serve on an esteemed panel with fellow barrier breakers Delvin Joyce of Prudential Advisors and multi-generational entrepreneur Jenell R. Ross of the Ohio-based Bob Ross Auto Group.
