The application period for the scholarship opened on February 14, 2024, and has been extended to  April 1, 2024. This opportunity is available to Miami-Dade County residents graduating from high school on or before August 1, 2024, and planning to attend an accredited college or university. The Peace & Prosperity Scholarship will award 75 scholarships, each valued at $2,500, directly to colleges and universities on behalf of the selected recipients. The aim is to empower these individuals in their pursuit of education, fostering resilience and breaking barriers. Miami-Dade County Community Action and Human Services Department’s (CAHSD) Office of Neighborhood Safety (ONS) has extended the application deadline for the “Peace & Prosperity Empowerment through Education” Scholarship program. The scholarship program is designed to support college-bound young adults directly or indirectly affected by gun violence.
