Global Transportation and mobility thought leaders to join Miami-Dade County at NACTO Designing Cities Conference 2024
From May 7 to 10, the National Association of City Transportation Officials (NACTO) Designing Cities Conference will convene more than a thousand transportation officials, urban planners, engineers, and practitioners from across North America and the globe, in Miami-Dade. Held for the time in the southeastern U.S., this historic event centers around pivotal themes including safety, climate, equity, sustainable growth, and regional collaboration. Hosted at the InterContinental Miami, the conference promises to be a catalyst for innovation and progress in urban mobility.
Miami-Dade joined NACTO in 2016, making history as the first county to become a member. Spearheaded by the Department of Transportation and Public Works (DTPW), Miami-Dade continues to make strides in enhancing its transportation infrastructure and services, boasting the largest transit system in Florida and the 15th largest in the nation.
The NACTO Designing Cities Conference promises to be a dynamic platform for insightful discussions, interactive local and regional “walkshops”, and engaging sessions throughout the community. It will showcase Miami-Dade's progress under the visionary leadership of Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava and DTPW Director Eulois Cleckley.
