Free mobile veterinary clinic at JFK Public Library, now until August 28
The WOW (Wellness on Wheels) Mobile veterinary clinic, which aims to alleviate critical animal health issues affecting underserved pets and their owners in Miami-Dade County will be stationed at JFK Library
Miami-Dade County Animal Services (Animal Services) and Friends of Miami Animals Foundation Inc. (FOMA) are excited to announce that the WOW (Wellness on Wheels) Mobile, the County’s fully-equipped mobile wellness veterinary clinic, will be stationed at the John F. Kennedy (JFK) Public Library from now until August 28, 2024. Pet owners in Miami-Dade County can bring their dogs and cats to the WOW Mobile for FREE routine wellness veterinary services at the JFK Public Library, located at 190 W 49TH ST, Hialeah, FL 33012. Services are offered on a first-come, first-serve basis until capacity is reached during the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Wednesday. The WOW Mobile is closed Thursday through Sundays and on all County-observed holidays.
The WOW Mobile provides essential medical care for owned dogs and cats, including wellness vaccines and boosters, deworming and flea prevention and referrals for low-cost or no-cost spay/neuter surgeries and other treatments that cannot be performed on the WOW Mobile. The clinic is strategically placed in underserved neighborhoods within our community that have been identified as veterinary deserts. These invaluable services are made possible through a generous donation and grant funding from FoMA.
