Martin [email protected] 305-471-1900 Shooting in front of residence leaves one man dead Shooting in front of residence leaves one man dead The Miami-Dade Police Department's Homicide Bureau is investigating a shooting that resulted in the death of an adult male. According to investigators, on August 27th, 2024, at approximately 1:56 a.m., units were dispatched to the area of 22357 SW 119 Avenue in reference to a "ShotSpotter" alert. Once Officers arrived on scene, they observed an adult male victim suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. The preliminary investigation revealed that a group of individuals were standing in front of a residence when an unknown male subject approached the victim, produced a firearm, and fired several rounds. The victim was subsequently transported to Jackson South Medical Center by Miami Dade Fire Rescue where he was pronounced deceased. Investigators believe that multiple people were present at the time of the shooting, and they are asking for the community's assistance in identifying/locating the subject.
