Miami-Dade voters to receive mail ballots next week
On Monday, September 30th, the Miami-Dade County Elections Department will mail approximately
260,000 vote-by-mail ballots to voters with a request on file for the November 5th
General Election.
<p>On Monday, September 30th, the Miami-Dade County Elections Department will mail
approximately 260,000 vote-by-mail ballots to voters with a request on file for the
November 5th General Election. Overseas voters have already received their vote-by-mail
ballots. The Miami-Dade County Supervisor of Elections Christina White will be available
to talk to media promptly on Monday, September 30th at 10:00 a.m. to encourage voters
to keep a look out for their ballot over the next couple of days.</p>
<p>Voters who have not requested a vote-by-mail ballot have until 5 p.m. on October
24th. There are several ways to request mail ballots:</p>
<ul>
<li>Online via the <a href="https://miamidade.electionsfl.org/vrservices/mbrs" target="_blank"
rel="noopener">Elections Department website</a></li>
<li>By phone at (305) 499-8444</li>
<li>By <a href="https://www.miamidade.gov/elections/library/forms/vote-by-mail-ballot-request.pdf"
target="_blank" rel="noopener">mail </a>to 2700 NW 87 Ave., Miami, FL 33172</li>
</ul>
<p>Voters are reminded:</p>
<ul>
<li>Per a change in Florida law, all vote-by-mail requests expired on December 31st,
2022. Voters are required to renew their request for the November 5th General Election.
It takes less than three minutes to request a ballot online. Do not wait! Renew your
request today</li>
<li>Don’t forget to sign inside the white box on the back of the return envelope
and fill in contact information</li>
<li>Ensure the signature on the mail ballot envelope matches the signature on file
</li>
<li>Return their ballot by mail or place it in a secure ballot intake station located
outside <a href="https://www.miamidade.gov/elections/library/early-voting/2024-11-05-general-election-early-voting-schedule.pdf"
target="_blank" rel="noopener">all 33 early voting locations</a> during days and hours
of operation</li>
<li>No postage is necessary when mailing a vote-by-mail ballot back to the Elections
Department.</li>
<li>Ensure the ballot is received by the Elections Department by Election Day, November
5th by 7 p.m.</li>
<li>You cannot return your vote-by-mail ballot at your precinct on Election Day</li>
</ul>
