Luis Sierra [email protected] 305-471-1900 Shooting leaves one dead and one injured outside of gas station in Southwest Miami Dade Shooting leaves one dead and one injured outside of gas station in Southwest Miami Dade Detectives from the Miami-Dade Police Department's Homicide Bureau are investigating a shooting that left one adult male deceased and another critically injured. According to investigators, on December 22nd, 2024, shortly after 9:15 p.m., officers were dispatched to the area of SW 265th  Street and SW 138th  Court in reference to a ShotSpotter alert. Upon their arrival, officers searched the area but were unable to locate any shooting victims or evidence. At approximately 9:50 p.m., in the area of SW 112th Avenue and SW 248th  Street, officers were alerted by a concerned citizen to a vehicle occupied by two adult males suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Responding officers located the vehicle and immediately began to render aid to the victims. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded and pronounced one male deceased on scene, while the other was transported to Jackson South Medical Center in critical but stable condition. UPDATE: Through investigative means, Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office Homicide detectives located and arrested Andrew Riley, and John Lockley. They have been charged with the murder of JD Jones Jr. that took place on December22, 2024.
