Miami-Dade Parks celebrates 11th annual “Meet at the Bridge” event at Arch Creek Park
Miami-Dade County Parks is happy to announce the 11th annual “Meet at the Bridge” event, a vibrant celebration of the park’s rich history and natural beauty. This community gathering will take place on Saturday, March 8th, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Arch Creek Park, offering guests a day filled with educational, cultural, and recreational experiences.
Attendees will have the opportunity to engage in a variety of hands-on activities, including guided nature hikes that explore the park's unique ecosystems, arts and crafts workshops, a mock archaeological dig site, and archery for both adults and children ages nine and older.
The event will feature several special presentations, starting with Corinne Mariposa, Director and Founder of Miami Seed Share. Mariposa will lead a plant propagation workshop where participants will learn how to propagate plants and will have the chance to take home up to 15 varieties of freely shared native, edible, and medicinal plants.
In addition, historian Seth Bramson will present The Florida East Coast Railway: For More Than 125 Years, America’s Speedway to Sunshine. This captivating presentation will explore the historical significance of the railway and its lasting impact on Florida’s development and transportation system.
Food vendors and community partners will also be on hand, offering refreshments and further enriching the day’s experience.
For more details about the event or to register, please visit Miami-Dade County ParkLink. For any additional inquiries, please email [email protected] or call 305-666-5885.
