Angel Rodriguez [email protected] 305-471-1900 Homicide Subject Taken into Custody Out of State The Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office (MDSO), Homicide Bureau is investigating a shooting that claimed the life of an adult female. The Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office (MDSO), Homicide Bureau is investigating a shooting that claimed the life of an adult female. According to investigators, MDSO deputies responded to reports of someone shot and upon arrival, they discovered an adult female with apparent gunshot wound(s).  Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded and determined she was deceased on the scene. The preliminary investigation revealed the subject, who is the victim's brother, arrived at the residence and without provocation shot his sister.  The subject then fled prior to the deputies' arrival.  Through investigative means, detectives learned the identity of the shooter and believed he was fleeing the state.  The subject, identified as Pedro Pablo Linares, was located in Louisiana, taken into custody, and is awaiting extradition back to Miami-Dade County to face charges of 1st Degree Murder.
