The Florida Department of Law Enforcement is investigating a shooting involving deputies from the Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office (MDSO). According to investigators, MDSO Homicide detectives were at the hotel conducting surveillance on a subject involved in a fatal, double shooting from the previous day.  When the subject entered his vehicle, detectives attempted to apprehend him.  There was an exchange of gunfire, and the subject was struck.  Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded and determined he was deceased on the scene.  There were no deputies injured in the incident, and detectives recovered a firearm from inside the subject's vehicle. The Florida Department of Law Enforcement is investigating a shooting involving deputies from the Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office (MDSO).
