MDFR to hold an induction ceremony for Cadet Class 2401 at its Doral Training Facility
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue (MDFR) will hold an induction ceremony for Cadet Class 2401
on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at 10 a.m. The ceremony will be held at the MDFR Training
Facility located in Doral, Florida.

on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at 10 a.m. The ceremony will be held at the MDFR Training
Facility located in Doral, Florida.</p>
<p>Following the completion of their training, a total of 39 fire cadets will be inducted
into the MDFR Cadet Program. The MDFR Cadet Program brings together young adults aspiring
for a future in the fire service or a medical-related field to use their skills at
organizational functions, community events, and to further their training in the fire
service.</p>
<p>“Congratulations to our fire cadets being inducted today into our cadet program,”
said Fire Chief Ray Jadallah. “Your dedication, training, achievements and selfless
devotion to service shine as a powerful example, strengthening the legacy of the fire
service and igniting the path for future generations to follow with bravery, wisdom
and purpose.”</p>

<p>During the graduation ceremony, MDFR Fire Cadets Khloe and Kendra Gill, also known
as The Safety Patrol Twins, will be presented with a Decade of Community Service plaque
for their outstanding dedication in delivering relevant, kid-friendly content on life
safety and fire prevention.</p>
<p>Keeping Miami-Dade County residents safe since 2015, their online educational videos
on topics ranging from Boating Safety, Back-to-School Safety, Halloween Safety and
4th of July Safety to New Year’s Fireworks Safety have been featured at many schools,
reaching thousands of students through the Miami-Dade School system.</p>
<p>With irresistible charm and wit, The Safety Patrol Twins have even carried us through
the COVID-19 pandemic, sparking students, kids and parents’ interest to keep learning
by always keeping Safety First.
Interviews will be available in English and Spanish.</p>

<p class="MsoNormal">We protect people, property and the environment by providing
proactive responsive professional and humanitarian fire rescue services essential
to public health, safety and well-being.</p>

<p>We have 71 fire-rescue stations within unincorporated Miami-Dade County and serve
29 municipalities. We have response units dedicated to air rescue service, ocean rescue,
fire and rescue operations, marine, hazardous materials (HazMat), urban search and
rescue (US&R), technical rescue, and venom response.</p>
<p>Our rescue services include aero-medical transport to trauma centers and other
medical facilities. Our air rescue helicopters are also used to perform search and
rescue missions, and firefighting and reconnaissance operations involving large incidents,
such as wildfires and major fires.</p>
<p>We also have full-time and part-time professional lifeguards protecting Haulover
and Crandon beaches.</p>
<p>We support disaster preparedness, response, recovery, and mitigation needs. We
operate the County's Emergency Operation Center (EOC) which coordinates emergency
response and recovery plans, decisions, and operations in order to maximize the use
of resources within Miami-Dade County.</p>
