A Heartfelt Tribute in Paint: Miami-Dade Animal Services honors the legacy of beloved dogs Brady and Hunter Fox, the inspiration for The Brady Hunter Foundation
Miami-Dade Animal Services (MDAS), in partnership with The Brady Hunter Foundation, is proud to unveil a stunning new mural commissioned in memory of Brady and Hunter Fox, the late canine companions of Josh Fox, founder of The Brady Hunter Foundation, who inspired a global movement in animal advocacy. Created by celebrated Miami-based artist Jay Ramirez, the mural captures the enduring spirit of two dogs whose lives continue to bring hope to shelter animals through the foundation that bears their names.
Brady, who passed away in November of 2021, and his brother Hunter, who passed just weeks ago in April 2025, were more than just beloved pets—they were the heart and soul of a mission to protect and uplift animals on a local, national, and international level. Their memory lives on through the work of The Brady Hunter Foundation, which has partnered with MDAS to bring "Paw-ventures"—walks, enrichment, and love—to its shelter's dogs, while also funding life-saving medical care for the animals at MDAS and other shelters nationwide.
Attendees will enjoy light refreshments, moving remarks from local leaders, and a powerful mural unveiling ceremony that celebrates compassion, legacy, and the enduring bond between humans and animals.
