Angel Rodriguez [email protected] 305-471-1900 Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office CALEA Re-Accreditation Commission On Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies Conducts On-Site Assessment Commission On Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies Conducts On-Site Assessment Public Comment Portal The Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office (MDSO) is scheduled for an on-site assessment for the purpose of obtaining re-accreditation.  The Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc. (CALEA) administers the accreditation process, requiring agencies to comply with the best and most current police policies, procedures, and practices. As part of the on-site assessment, members of the community and MDSO employees can provide comments, commendations, and other information regarding the MDSO's quality of service and other information relevant to the accreditation process from July 1, 2025 - June 15, 2026.
