Checkmate for Local Chess Instructor Arrested on Molestation Charges
MIAMI-DADE ( August 13, 2025 )–
On Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at approximately 5:00 p.m., Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office (MDSO) Special Victims Bureau detectives were made aware of a Lewd and Lascivious incident in the area of 83 Avenue and SW 124 Street.
Subsequent to an initial interview of the victim, deputies took the subject, Mr. Christopher Stormont, into custody for questioning. Mr. Stormont was then arrested and charged accordingly.
Since his arrest, more victims have come forward with allegations against Mr. Stormont. (MDSO) Special Victims Bureau detectives are asking that if you have been victimized by Mr. Stormont, to please come forward. (MDSO) Special Victims Bureau detectives may be reached at 305-715-3300.
