Peguero Rivera [email protected] 305-471-1900 Vehicle Burglary Subject Taken into Custody On Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at approximately 9:15 a.m., the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office (MDSO) Investigators from the Auto Theft Unit in the Hammocks district, along with the Special Response Team (SRT), executed a search warrant in the area of SW 61st Street and SW 107th Avenue. On Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at approximately 9:15 a.m., the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office (MDSO) Investigators from the Auto Theft Unit in the Hammocks district, along with the Special Response Team (SRT), executed a search warrant in the area of SW 61st Street and SW 107th Avenue. According to investigators, the subject had been committing numerous vehicle burglaries throughout unincorporated Miami-Dade County. Through investigative efforts, they were able to locate and apprehend the subject. Detectives have also confirmed that the subject was out on bond for vehicular manslaughter and was under surveillance with an ankle monitor while committing these burglaries. The search warrant resulted in the recovery of multiple stolen items.
