Angel Rodriguez [email protected] 305-471-1900 Detectives Seek Information on Duo involved in Arson Incident Detectives Seek Information on Duo involved in Arson Incident The Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office (MDSO), Organized Crimes Bureau, Arson Investigations Unit is investigating an incident in which a vehicle was intentionally set on fire. According to investigators, MDSO deputies along with Miami-Dade Fire Rescue (MDFR) responded to the rear of a residence, near a canal bank, regarding a vehicle that was on fire.  MDFR was able to extinguish the flames and determined the incident was Arson.  The preliminary information revealed two, unknown subjects had driven the vehicle to the rear of a residence and attempted to discard it into the canal, without success.  The subjects then set the vehicle on fire and fled prior to responding personnels' arrival.  There were no reported injuries. During the course of the investigation, detectives gathered vehicle surveillance which shows the two subjects obtaining gasoline from an area gas station and fleeing from the scene after setting the vehicle on fire.  Investigators are seeking the community's assistance with any information regarding this case to include the subjects' identities/whereabouts to contact them at 305-994-1000 or via Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers.  Video footage of the subjects is on the FTP site under September/2025/Video/PD250912268554. no Arson PD250912268554 09/12/2025 at approx. 6:31 A.M. 1021 S.
