MDSO Searching for Driver in Hit-and-Run with Injuries
On Tuesday, January 6, 2026, just after 11:00 p.m., Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office (MDSO) deputies responded to the area of NW 54th Street and NW 22nd Avenue regarding a hit-and-run.
Upon arrival, deputies observed an adult female victim, suffering from injuries due to a hit-and-run. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue arrived on scene, stabilized the victim, and transported her to a local hospital. The driver of the subject vehicle fled the scene without contacting 9-1-1, providing aid, or providing any information to the victim.
MDSO Hit-And-Run detectives assumed the investigation. The preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was riding her motorcycle east on NW 54th Street, approaching NW 22nd Avenue, when a red 2017 GMC Yukon Denali, driving in the opposite direction, collided with the victim’s motorcycle. The red Denali has damage to the right side of the vehicle, including the front right door and possibly the front right fender. The vehicle was last seen traveling Southbound on NW 22nd Avenue from NW 54th Street.
MDSO Hit-And-Run detectives are asking if anyone has information regarding this incident, the driver of the vehicle, or the whereabouts of the red Denali to please contact Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS (8477).
