No Tolerance: Arrest Made in Intersection Takeover
On Friday, December 26, 2025, just after 2:30 a.m., Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office (MDSO) deputies received information regarding an intersection takeover in the area of NW 36 Street and NW 27 Avenue.
Approximately 40 vehicles were observed blocking all lanes of travel in all four directions. A yellow Chevrolet Camaro was observed entering the intersection against the flow of traffic. The Camaro revved its engine and then drifted in a circular motion while spectators formed a circle in the intersection. City of Miami Police Department marked units arrived in the area and disbursed the crowd.
Later that morning, the yellow Camaro was observed operating in the same reckless manner in the area of NW 127 Street and NW 17 Avenue.
The same reckless driving was observed again on Sunday, December 28, 2025, at approximately 2:20 a.m., in the area of NW 135 Street and NW 42 Avenue. MDSO marked units attempted to conduct a traffic on the yellow Camaro, during which time the driver of the Camaro intentionally struck the MDSO marked unit causing damage to the front driver side quarter panel. The driver of the Camaro then fled in a reckless manner, running redlights, without any regard for other motorists.
Through investigative means, the driver of the vehicle, Mr. Lucio Marin Anselmo, Jr., and the yellow Camaro were located in Highland’s County, FL.
Along with the assistance of Highlands County Sheriff's Office, Mr. Lucio Marin Anselmo, Jr. has been arrested and charged accordingly.
