Commissioner Natalie Milian Orbis Joins “United for a Free Cuba” Rally

Commissioner Natalie Milian Orbis joined local Elected officials and the Cuban exile community at the “United for a Free Cuba” rally at Bayfront Park, standing in support of freedom and human rights on the island.

During the event, she led a prayer for the Cuban people, calling attention to political prisoners, families suffering under the regime, and those silenced or forced into exile.

“Señor, hoy levantamos en oración al pueblo cubano,” said Commissioner Milian Orbis. “Te pedimos por los presos políticos, por las madres que sufren, por los jóvenes sin libertad, y por todos los que han sido perseguidos por decir la verdad.”

She emphasized the resilience of the Cuban people and prayed for strength, protection, and hope as they continue their fight for freedom. The Commissioner also asked for guidance for U.S. leadership and protection for American service members in the region.

“Hoy pedimos libertad, justicia y el fin de una tiranía que ha causado demasiado dolor… ¡Cuba Libre! Amén.” Commissioner Milian Orbis reaffirmed her commitment to standing with the Cuban people and advancing accountability until freedom is achieved.
