MDSO Arrested Four Subjects in Connection to Online Marketplace Robbery and Grand Theft Pattern's
MIAMI-DADE ( May 06, 2026 )–
The Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office (MDSO) Robbery Bureau detectives have arrested four subjects connected to a robbery and grand theft pattern involving victims using online marketplace platforms.
Between October 2025 and May 2026, investigators identified 11 robberies and 6 grand thefts in the Intracoastal District, primarily near NW 6 Avenue and NW 152 Street. The subjects targeted individuals selling cell phones and laptops, arranging meetings under the guise of purchasing items before stealing the property and fleeing.
Detectives identified the subjects through investigative leads and coordinated a proactive operation with Robbery Intervention Detail (RID), Intracoastal district General Investigations Unit (GIU), Intracoastal Property Crimes Squad (PCS), and Crime Suppression Team (CST) detectives, resulting in the safe arrest of all four subjects without incident.
The Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office reminds the public to use caution when conducting online marketplace transactions and to utilize designated safe exchange zones or law enforcement facilities when possible.
