On Tuesday, May 19, 2026, detectives with the Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office (MDSO) Special Victims Bureau arrested an adult male in connection with an ongoing sexual battery investigation involving a minor. According to investigators, the victim, now an adult female, disclosed that the abuse began when she was approximately five years old and continued over several years during her childhood. The victim reported that the subject, identified as her biological father, engaged in repeated acts of sexual battery. The victim disclosed that between the third and seventh grades, the subject repeatedly exposed himself to her and forced her to engage in sexual acts. The subject was subsequently arrested, charged accordingly, and transported to the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center without incident. The subject is a pastor at a local church. Due to his position within the community, detectives believe there may be additional victims.
