Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs brings free arts and wellness experiences to families at Pinecrest Gardens
Arts for Wellness connects nature and the arts to support creativity, self-expression and well-being for children and families of all abilities on October 17.
The Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs, in partnership with Pinecrest Gardens, is hosting Garden Day & Arts for Wellness, inviting children and families of all abilities to connect with nature and the arts on Saturday, October 17, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Pinecrest Gardens, 11000 Red Road, Pinecrest. Admission is free for the first 250 visitors; regular admission of $8 applies once sponsored capacity is reached.
Presented through the Department's All Kids Included (AKI) initiative, Garden Day & Arts for Wellness offers families opportunities to explore creativity and imagination in an accessible environment through experiences that connect nature and the arts, encouraging self-expression while supporting mental and physical well-being. As part of the event, there will be a book giveaway of The Invisible Boy by Trudy Ludwig, while supplies last. The book is the selected inspiration for the 2027 All Kids Included Student Art Showcase, encouraging young artists to explore their own creativity through this year’s theme - Celebrating the Power of Friendship Through the Arts.
For more information, contact Dana Pezoldt or visit AKI Arts for Wellness.
