• Oil-based paints
• Pesticides, solvents
• Pool chemicals
• Electronic items including:
  • Computer monitors and televisions
  • Personal computers, keyboards, hard drives and printers
  • VCR's, audio and video equipment
  • Communication equipment such as cellular telephones and hand-held radios
• Unbroken fluorescent light bulbs, including the older, long-tube fluorescents, modern compact fluorescent light bulbs (CFLs) and other fluorescent types
• Latex paints that are still in liquid form
• Propane tanks (larger tanks such as those used for RV's, forklifts, or fixed kitchen gas supply are not accepted)
• Empty oxygen tanks
• Small lithium-ion batteries (button batteries)

New paints or latex paint in good condition should be donated to neighbors or community groups.

If you have unusable or poor quality latex paint still in liquid form, dry out any remaining liquid with an absorbent material such as newspaper or kitty litter. Once the latex paint has been solidified, place the paint can in your waste cart.

• Pack all containers upright in sturdy boxes
• Tighten lids and caps on all containers
• Place leaking containers in a larger container, along with absorbent material such as newspaper
• Make sure all containers are labeled. If the original label has fallen off, re-label it with the contents or any information you have or label it "UNKNOWN CHEMICALS"

Unused or gently used home chemical products, such as paints, cleaners, etc., may be picked up from any of the two Miami-Dade County Home Chemical Collection Centers through the Chem Again Program. All products are offered free of charge, in their existing condition, and distributed on a first come, first served basis while supplies last. Products obtained through the program are intended for residential use only.

Individuals receiving products will be required to sign a release form prior to pick up. The Chem Again Program supports the County’s ongoing efforts to reduce, reuse, and recycle home chemical materials and minimize environmental impacts.

Miami Dade County makes no warranties or guarantees, expressed or implied, regarding the quality, safety, condition, or performance of any products distributed through the Chem Again Program. All products are provided as is, and the County assumes no responsibility or liability for any damages, losses, or injuries arising from the transport, handling, use, or misuse of these materials.
