Waste Disposal for Landscapers

Effective October 1, 2024, TRC Permitted Landscapers can no longer apply unused physical coupons toward future site visit purchases. TRC Permitted Landscapers’ unused coupons may be applied to their online coupon account and used towards TRC visit purchases until September 30, 2024. After September 30, 2024, any unused physical coupons will no longer be accepted or applied to future TRC visit purchases.

Effective October 1, 2024, permitted landscapers must purchase TRC visits through the Solid Waste Online Payment System.

Landscapers must provide an email address and/or cell phone number associated with their online account to register in the system and purchase visits. All landscapers must have a valid permit to register online. TRC visits purchased online will cost $31.00 per visit until September 30, 2024. However, beginning October 1, 2024, the annual Consumer Price Index (CPI) adjustment will come into effect, which may result in a slight increase or decrease in the current 2023-24 disposal rates. The new cost will be posted on this page after new rates are approved during the budget process in September.

Permitted landscapers can purchase visits online to bring yard trash in pickup trucks, vans and trailers (less than 10 feet long) to a Trash and Recycling Center (TRC). Gross vehicle weight (GVW) for pickups must not exceed 15,000 pounds and vans must not exceed 11,000 pounds. Small trailers cannot exceed six cubic yards in the cargo area.

Online visit purchases are currently the only accepted form of payment at the TRCs and are not sold there.

Permitted landscapers with large vehicles and trailers, as well as flatbed trucks, step vans or dump trucks, can dispose yard trash at the North Dade or South Dade Landfill. Learn more about our Disposal Fees.

DSWM has transitioned to a new method for landscapers to visit Trash and Recycling Centers (TRCs) to dispose of yard waste as of Oct. 1, 2022.

The new Landscaper Coupon Program will utilize prepaid "visits" to the TRCs for yard waste disposal available for purchase online. Learn more about our Disposal Fees. Visits can be purchased online.
