UF/IFAS Extension Miami-Dade County

The UF-IFAS Extension Miami-Dade County is the liaison between research conducted by scientists at the University of Florida and other universities and our local community in the Department of Regulatory and Economic Resources. UF/IFAS Extension County offices disseminate science-based information to clients, helping them solve problems related to agriculture, horticulture, natural resources, water, energy, youth, families and communities.

The UF/IFAS Extension Miami-Dade County receives direct funding from the University of Florida's Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (UF/IFAS), Miami-Dade County Department of Regulatory and Economic Resources (RER), and the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA).

Our Services include classes, computer networking, consultations, demonstrations, educational materials, field days, meetings and workshops 

Our Customers include, but not limited to growers, homeowners, youth, landscape industry, families, marine industries, government entities, non-profits, and community organizations
