Annette Jose - Director

Director Annette Jose is a Miami native who holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Florida International University and a Master of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Miami. Director Jose began her professional career in the private sector, working at a leading mortgage finance firm in Coral Gables. In 2014, she left the private sector to focus on Public Service, joining Our Kids of Miami-Dade/Monroe as their Chief Operating Officer and in 2019, she joined Animal Services as the Assistant Director of Administrative Services.    

Having been part of Animal Services for over four years, Director Jose is familiar with its history and how it became an industry-leading shelter. Her focus is on enhancing the Department's strengths and expanding the partner network to address current challenges. Director Jose looks forward to serving the Miami-Dade County residents.
