Mayor Levine Cava has worked to ensure the availability of resources that make up a healthy community, for all stages of life.

- Opened the Office of Housing Advocacy which provides critical information, access to financial support to pay for housing, or legal support to avoid eviction, helping families keep a roof over their heads.
- Provided nearly 3,000 residents financial support of up to $1,000 with their water bills through the Low-Income Household Water Assistance Program (LIHWAP)
- Assisted 90 low-income homeowners in making their homes energy efficient and ready for severe weather through the Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP), adding up to $50,000 total in home improvements.
- Launched the Mayor’s Children's Commission, which released the Roadmap for Child Success. The roadmap provides clear, actionable recommendations to ensure that all children are nurtured and educated in an environment that fosters long-term success.
- Launched Zero Drownings Miami-Dade, a large-scale drowning prevention program for smaller children in partnership with the school system and community organizations, aiming to reach 20,000 children annually.
- Served approximately 7,500 children per year and distributed 520,000+ meals through the Head Start/Early Head Start program.
- Provided Free Financial Literacy Workshops from licensed professionals in our senior centers, covering topics from life financial planning to managing retirement.
- Served more than 1 million meals to homebound older adults since 2020.
- Distributed more than $32 million through the Save our Seniors Program to provide additional support to our older adults.
- Continued to offer outstanding cultural activities for older adults through the Golden Ticket Arts Guide and Golden Tours.
- Broke ground on renovations and expansions for the historic Joseph Caleb Auditorium Groundbreaking and secured $1 million in state funding for the African American Cultural and Historical Grants Program.
- Maintained Animal Services Department’s No Kill status by saving more than 93% of animals entering the shelter and finding positive placements for them through lifesaving programs.
- Libraries provided free tutoring in reading, math and science by certified teachers to K-12 students, with an estimated 56,000 sessions in FY 2024-25.
