Youth Crime Task Force

The Youth Crime Task Force currently has vacancies. Membership is open to those who work for, or serve on the Board of Directors of an organization that works with youth and/or crime prevention, and who are qualified electors of Miami-Dade County. The Youth Crime Task Force is comprised of 31 Board Members of which 20 were assigned entities by ordinance and up to 11 members who work for or serve on the board of directors of an organization that works with youth and/or youth crime prevention.

The Youth Crime Task Force is contained by three committees: Executive, Funding and Legislation, and Model Programs.

Executive Committee

Comprised of the Chair, Vice Chair, Second Vice Chair, and committee chairpersons. The function of the Executive Committee is to determine YCTF direction, policy, and function.

Funding and Legislation Committee

This committee supports relevant legislative recommendations promulgated by youth oriented organizations and prepares important legislative recommendations regarding delinquency and youth each year.

Model Programs Committee

Reviews reported outcomes for funded programs and makes recommendations for continued funding for organizations and service initiatives.

All Youth Crime Task Force (YCTF) meetings are held publicly under the Florida Sunshine Law and prior public notice is provided before any meeting.
