Recognizing Excellence: Courtney Adams, Supervisor of the Quarter at PROS

The Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces Department proudly recognizes Courtney Adams, Park Manager at Tropical Park and the Ronald Reagan Equestrian Center, as the Supervisor of the Quarter. Courtney demonstrates exceptional leadership, professionalism, and commitment to excellence in managing the operations of one of Miami-Dade County’s most heavily utilized parks.
Despite significant staffing challenges, Courtney consistently maintains high service standards across 286 acres, including the sensitive Pine Rockland Preserve. His customer-focused leadership is evident in Tropical Park’s strong performance metrics, including a 96% Secret Shopper score and numerous positive visitor surveys in April 2025.
Courtney played a critical role in completing a three-month conservation project at North Lake, removing over 640 tons of invasive plant material and supporting the replanting of native species. His dedication saved the department over $120,000 and positioned the project for a NACo Award.
In addition to his park duties, Courtney supported the Sound and Stage Division during key events and was instrumental in preparing the Equestrian Center for two major events: the International Spectrum Paso Fino Show, which drew over 30,000 visitors, and Miami-Dade Countryfest 2025, which required the unprecedented expansion of the rodeo arena. His coordination of over 440 tons of materials to meet specialized rodeo specifications earned him formal recognition from both the Mayor and the Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners.
Courtney Adams exemplifies the qualities of an outstanding supervisor—dedicated, dependable, and driven to serve. His 288 hours worked in April speak volumes about his work ethic and his unwavering commitment to public service.
“Courtney is an exceptional supervisor, and we’re truly fortunate to have him on our team,” says Alain Capiro, PROS Region Manager. “He consistently excels at every task and project he takes on, bringing both skill and dedication. Courtney is a tremendous asset to our team and the entire department.”
