Swimming Pool Cleaner Registration

A contractor’s license is not required for individuals who are solely engaged in the cleaning and treatment of water in existing swimming pools. However, all such individuals are required to complete and submit a registration form to the department’s Contractor Licensing Section. All registrations shall be valid for one year and expire on the last day of September. Annual renewal shall include verification of continued qualification for the registration.

- Complete the Swimming Pool Cleaner registration and renewal application
- Attach a copy of your driver’s license
- Attach a copy of your Certified Pool Operator’s certification
- Attach a Certificate of Insurance for public liability insurance with limits of liability not less than $50,000 per accident or occurrence for bodily injury and $25,000 per accident for property damage
- Registration, renewal or change of name fee: $60.00
