Change your clock, change your batteries

As you set your clocks forward for the start of daylight saving time at 2 a.m. on March 8, remember to check your smoke alarms and carbon monoxide (CO) detectors. Test each device and replace the batteries as needed. Smoke alarms should be replaced every 10 years, and CO detectors every 5 years.
Properly working smoke alarms and CO detectors save lives by providing early warning of fires and dangerous levels of CO in your home.
