Unique opportunity for local artists to receive affordable housing and workspace

Miami-Dade County’s Public Housing and Community Development (PHCD) will offer the nation’s first “Artist-in-Residence” program in one of the nation’s oldest public housing developments.

Local creatives will be offered discounted rent and studio space in exchange for their involvement in local art exhibitions and educational sessions free of charge for Liberty City residents. 

The artists in residence will serve as a voice for this community, telling the story of the South’s oldest public housing development for African-Americans, further documenting its transformation and rise.
