Grants available for business owners

Miami-Dade Economic Advocacy Trust (MDEAT) is accepting applications for it's Business Resource and Education $2,500 Grant Program.
A total of 24 grants will be awarded to qualified start-up businesses to improve or stabilize neighborhood businesses throughout Miami-Dade County.
The grant can be used for the following: inventory/supplies/other than food item, business equipment, marketing/advertisting, business expansion and technology (computer, software, copier, etc.)
This opportunity is available for businesses that have been operating for at least six (6) months and no longer than two (2) years. The program will award 24 recipients grants in the amount of $2,500. Included in the award will be a one-year membership with one of the following organizations: Miami-Dade Chamber of Commerce, Black Professional Network or South-Dade Connections.
Applications can be emailed online via grant application link or dropped off to the MDEAT office, 601 NW 1st Court, Suite 2132, Miami, FL 33126.
Deadline to apply is Monday, Aug. 14.
