
The Miami-Dade Public Library System is excited to present the 2025 Local Author Book Fair on Saturday, Jan. 25. This vibrant, free annual event, celebrating Miami-Dade County's rich literary talent, will take place from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Main Library in downtown Miami.
Perfect for book lovers and aspiring writers of all ages, the Local Author Book Fair offers a unique opportunity to connect with more than 50 local authors shaping our County's thriving literary culture. Featured authors include Ron Magill, who will present his inspiring book, "The Pride of a Lion: What the Animal Kingdom Can Teach Us About Survival, Fear and Family" and Rochelle Weinstein, who will share her expertise in a marketing workshop. Attendees can also enjoy a publishing workshop presented by Sita Singh and an insightful talk by Pablo Cartaya on his journey to becoming an author.
The event promises a day filled with engaging activities, including storytimes and book readings from award-winning and bestselling authors, book signings, interactive illustration workshops by a Marvel and DC Comic artist and much more.
Families and children can meet and take photos with beloved storybook characters such as Cookie Mouse, Rainbow Fish and Pete the Cat. The fun continues with live music, crafts and a special performance of "Pete the Cat" by Miami Children's Museum Theatre Troupe.
