Join DSWM and Commissioner Oliver G. Gilbert, III for ‘Pickup for Cancer’ Cleanup Event in District 1
The Department of Solid Waste Management (DSWM) is teaming up with District 1 Commissioner Oliver G. Gilbert, III and Pickup for Cancer, Inc. for a community cleanup that combines neighborhood beautification with support for a meaningful cause. Residents and community members are invited to participate!

Date: Saturday, October 31, 2026
Time: 9 a.m. - 11 a.m. 
Location: NW 25th Avenue, between NW 170th Terrace and NW 173rd Terrace
(Participants will meet at the corner of NW 25th Avenue and NW 170th Terrace)

Join us as we work together to keep our neighborhoods clean while raising awareness for a cause that supports individuals affected by cancer, particularly children. Every volunteer makes a difference, and your participation helps build a cleaner, stronger, and more connected community. Student volunteers can also earn community service hours.
