Matheson Hammock Park

Matheson Hammock Park is Miami-Dade County's first park and is home to the County's second-largest County-operated marina. The marina accommodates approximately 330 vessels, ranging from 30 to 50 feet, across wet slips and dry storage, all with access to water and electricity. Additional amenities include 11 boat-launch ramp lanes, a fuel dock, pump-out facilities, and a bait-and-tackle shop. The marina also hosts an on-site Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office Marine Patrol station.

Office hours are seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Pets are not allowed in Matheson.

Parking and Launching Fees

Pay through the Pay-By-Phone or Park Mobile application, or in person in the park office.
- Car: $7 plus tax on weekdays and $10 plus tax on weekends and holidays
- Boat ramp launch trailer: $20 plus tax from Monday to Thursday; $30 plus tax from Friday to Sunday and on holidays
- Bus/RV: $15 plus tax each day

- Seniors (age 62 and over): $50 plus tax
- Veterans: Free. Please bring ID and a summary of benefits letter from the Department of Veterans Affairs.

A nearby bayside park makes this one of the County's most popular marinas. Dock here and you'll enjoy a full-service marina, tropical hammock, a sandy beach and natural atoll pool with a first-class restaurant.

- Annual contract fees for vessels up to 49 feet long are $18.77 per foot plus tax
- Annual contract fees for vessels 50 feet and more are $19.62 per foot plus tax
- Transient monthly rates for vessels up to 49 feet long are $26.14 per foot plus tax
- Transient monthly rates for vessels 50 feet and more are $27.32 per foot plus tax

The lagoon is open seven days a week. Lifeguards are staffed on weekends and holidays. Park guests need to obey atoll pool rules and follow the lifeguard's directions.

Operating hours are subject to change and can be affected due to wildlife, natural disasters or water quality.

Tents, barbecue grills and cooking/open flame are not allowed in our beach area.

Summer Hours
Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Winter Hours
Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Floation devices are not allowed on beaches (Miami-Dade County Code: Chapter 26, Rule 16).
PADL offers a self-service kiosk for kayaks and paddle boards. Kiteboarding is also available.

Volunteer Opportunities
- Recurring clean-ups take place on the 4th Saturday of every month
- Invasive species removals and additional clean-ups available upon request
Noma Beach at Red Fish was featured on the Cooking Channel and awarded the 100 Best Al Fresco Dining Restaurants in the Nation in 2016. The restaurant on the beach serves fresh seafood, pasta, chicken and steak.

You can dine inside the historic coral rock building or outside, overlooking the beach and Biscayne Bay. The Grill's snack bar offers casual food for lunch. View the menu, make a reservation or get directions to the restaurant by visiting Noma Beach at Red Fish.
