Miami-Dade Mayor Daniella Levine Cava to unveil first-ever large-scale solar array
on County building
MIAMI-DADE ( April 04, 2023 )– Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava will join Miami-Dade County’s Office of Resilience and the Miami-Dade Public Library System to unveil the first large-scale solar array on a County facility at the North Dade Regional Library. The North Dade Regional Library is the first of three current rooftop solar projects the County is installing, with plans for many more in the future.
The new solar panels will be unveiled to showcase the project, which is expected to meet 85% of the building’s electricity usage needs. Following the ribbon cutting, the solar installer will be on site to provide a behind-the-scenes look and tour of the solar equipment for media.
