Miami-Dade County Auditorium presents "International Children's Day" featuring a family-friendly theatre performance on July 16
The free event is presented in partnership with Teatro Avante and will feature children’s activities and the production of "El Guardian De Los Cuentos" in Spanish.
Miami-Dade County Auditorium and Teatro Avante join forces to present International Children’s Day on Sunday, July 16, 2023 starting at 2:00 p.m., as part of the International Hispanic Theatre Festival of Miami and the Auditorium’s Hot Theatre Summer Series. The free event will feature rides, food, children’s activities, bilingual workshops and a family-friendly theatre performance presented in Spanish. The performance, "El Guardián De Los Cuentos" (The Guardian of Tales), is a dynamic play by the theatre company La Tartana Teatro from Madrid, Spain, which tells five different folktales using puppets and awe-inspiring sets.
Located in the heart of Little Havana, programming at the Miami-Dade County Auditorium draws upon the rich cultural tapestry in Miami, combining internationally recognized organizations and local arts groups to produce and present accessible arts programing for children and adults in the surrounding communities. In addition to International Children’s Day, this year’s Hot Theatre Summer Series will feature four additional Spanish theatre performances: "La Isla De Los Hombres Solos" (Buenos Aires, Argentina), "Yo Soy Don Quijote De La Mancha" (San José, Costa Rica), "El Rámper" (Cádiz, España), and ARCA Image’s "Hierro."
Visit www.MiamiDadeCountyAuditorium.org for full event details. RSVP online or in-person at the box office, open Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. through 4:00 p.m., at 2901 W. Flagler Street, Miami, FL 33135.
