Miami-Dade County Animal Services waives adoption fees throughout December to give shelter pets a “Home for the Holidays”
In response to overpopulation crisis, adoption fees will be waived for pets four months and older throughout December
This holiday season, Miami-Dade County Animal Services (Animal Services) announces the return of its beloved “Home for the Holidays” campaign, dedicated to finding loving homes for our county’s shelter pets. Through December 31st, 2023, Animal Services will waive adoption fees for dogs and cats four months and older. Adopters are responsible for a $30 dog licensing fee. Puppies are $85 and kittens are $35.
All adoptions will include the initial set of age-appropriate vaccines, microchip, deworming, and spay/neuter surgery.
With more than 900 adoring pets eagerly awaiting their loving families, the Animal Services’ Pet Adoption and Protection Center, along with various offsite adoption events, will be hosting this heartwarming initiative. The goal is to provide the invaluable gift of unconditional love and lifelong companionship to as many families as possible, while alleviating the shelter overpopulation crisis.
The adoption hours at the Pet Adoption and Protection Center are Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Additionally, off-site adoption locations can be found by visiting Animal Services' Contact Us webpage.
