Miami-Dade to celebrate the grand reopening of Ward Tower Senior Social Center
The reopening is hosted by Independent Living Community Services and Miami-Dade County Public Housing & Community Development
MIAMI-DADE ( June 06, 2024 )–
Join us on Friday, June 7th, 2024, as we celebrate the grand reopening of the Ward Tower Senior Social Center, a community space serving Ward Tower I and II, and greater Miami-Dade at large. Ward Tower I and II provide public housing for Miami-Dade County’s older adults.
The event will begin with facility tour at 11:30 am, offering a firsthand look at the newly refurbished social center, where an array of services are offered and tailored to enhance the well-being of older adults. From meal services for Ward Tower residents to diabetes education programs, senior wellness initiatives, exercise and nutrition classes, English and computer courses, to recreational activities like games, movies, knitting, and crocheting, there's something for everyone. Following the tour, there will be a senior resources fair and a celebration luncheon.
