MDFR Fire Chief Raied “Ray” Jadallah is proud to announce the promotion of 58 officers and professional staff. The newly promoted officers and personnel will include one Fire Division Chief, one Chief Fire Officer, four Fire Captains, 17 Fire Lieutenants, two helicopter pilots, as well as 33 professional staff.  “Today, we celebrate the professional development of our personnel,” said Fire Chief Raied “Ray” Jadallah. “Their unwavering dedication and commitment to serving our community is palpable daily, and I am privileged to continue to witness their leadership in their new roles within our department.”    Please join us in celebrating the achievements of the newly promoted members of our department as they proudly accept their new leadership roles during the MDFR Promotion Ceremony. We have response units dedicated to air rescue service, ocean rescue, fire and rescue operations, marine, hazardous materials (HazMat), urban search and rescue (US&R), technical rescue, and venom response. Our rescue services include aero-medical transport to trauma centers and other medical facilities. Our air rescue helicopters are also used to perform search and rescue missions, and firefighting and reconnaissance operations involving large incidents, such as wildfires and major fires. We also have full-time and part-time professional lifeguards protecting Haulover and Crandon beaches. We support disaster preparedness, response, recovery, and mitigation needs.
