Aggravated Battery Arrest

According to investigators, on Sunday, July 7th, 2024 at approximately 7:45 a.m., a 56 year old female was riding her bike on the bicycle path on Crandon Blvd. The victim began to  approach the subject in an attempt to pass him,  but the male swung his arm while holding a bottle, and struck the victim in the face causing her to fall and sustain injuries. Another cyclist arrived and observed the incident and called police. After asking the subject to remain on scene and wait for police to arrive, the subject fled.

Police Operations Bureau, General Investigations Unit detectives assumed the investigation. With the assistance of a good Samaritan, and the detectives relentless efforts of following all leads, they were able to identify and locate the subject. The detectives were able to obtain a full confession from Andrew Cobb, who has been charged accordingly.
