Miami-Dade Fire Rescue (MDFR) cordially invites you to attend its graduation ceremony
for Recruit Class 155 on Thursday, Oct. 17, 2024.
<p>Miami-Dade Fire Rescue (MDFR) cordially invites you to attend its graduation ceremony
for Recruit Class 155 on Thursday, Oct. 17, 2024, at 10 a.m. The ceremony will be
held at the MDFR Training Facility located at 9300 NW 41 Street in Doral, Florida.<br
/><br />After completing rigorous and specialized training, a total of 33 recruits
from Class 155 will officially receive their badges and become full-time MDFR firefighters.<br
/><br />“Congratulations to our newest group of probationary firefighters,”
said MDFR Fire Chief Ray Jadallah. “Today, we celebrate not just a milestone,
but the beginning of an extraordinary career dedicated to public service. We are honored
to welcome you as you embark on your new role and continue the esteemed legacy of
our fire department.”<br /><br />During the graduation ceremony, uniformed recruits
from Class 155 will receive their certificates and have their badges pinned by MDFR
Fire Chief Ray Jadallah. </p>

<p class="MsoNormal">We protect people, property and the environment by providing
proactive responsive professional and humanitarian fire rescue services essential
to public health, safety and well-being.</p>

<p>We have 71 fire-rescue stations within unincorporated Miami-Dade County and serve
29 municipalities. We have response units dedicated to air rescue service, ocean rescue,
fire and rescue operations, marine, hazardous materials (HazMat), urban search and
rescue (US&R), technical rescue, and venom response.</p>
<p>Our rescue services include aero-medical transport to trauma centers and other
medical facilities. Our air rescue helicopters are also used to perform search and
rescue missions, and firefighting and reconnaissance operations involving large incidents,
such as wildfires and major fires.</p>
<p>We also have full-time and part-time professional lifeguards protecting Haulover
and Crandon beaches.</p>
<p>We support disaster preparedness, response, recovery, and mitigation needs. We
operate the County's Emergency Operation Center (EOC) which coordinates emergency
response and recovery plans, decisions, and operations in order to maximize the use
of resources within Miami-Dade County.</p>
