Miami-Dade Department of Solid Waste Management’s Martin Luther King, Jr. Day 2025 holiday schedule
On Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Monday, January 20, 2025, the Miami-Dade Department of Solid Waste Management (DSWM) will not collect waste. All DSWM disposal facilities will be closed on Monday, January 20, 2025.
Recycling collection services will operate on a normal schedule on Monday, January 20, 2025. Residents whose recycling collection day falls on Monday, January 20 should place only their blue recycling carts at the curb by 7 a.m. that morning.
The DSWM Administrative offices will be closed on Monday, January 20, 2025.
Additionally, DSWM waste-hauling customers are advised that WM, Inc.’s Medley Landfill will be open and operating during regular hours on Monday, January 20, 2025.
