Four arrested in homicide case
On Saturday, February 8th, 2025, at approximately 7:56 p.m., Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office (MDSO) deputies responded to 18963 NW 63 Court Circle, in reference to a person shot.
According to investigators, the victim Delilah Ruiz was at her residence when her boyfriend, who was identified as Elijah Clarke, arrived and began an argument over money. The dispute escalated when the subject brandished a firearm and shot the victim. Mr. Clarke then got into a vehicle that was being driven by his friend, Christopher Valdes, and fled the scene. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded and transported the victim to Memorial Regional Hospital, where despite all lifesaving efforts she was pronounced deceased.
On Monday, February 10th, 2025, MDSO Homicide Street Violent Task Force with the assistance of Broward County Sheriff’s Office and the Miramar Police Department, located and apprehended the subject driver, Christopher Valdes.
On Tuesday, February 11th, 2025, Houston Police Department located and apprehended the subject Elijah Clarke in Houston, Texas. He was accompanied by two individuals Rafael Torralba and Angelina Valledor, who were charged by Houston PD for Hindering Apprehension and Prosecution of a case.
The investigation continues.
