Recycling collection days to change for Miami-Dade Department of Solid Waste Management customers north of SW 88th Street
The change will improve the efficiency, reliability, and resiliency of recycling services
Beginning April 1, 2025, approximately 119,000 curbside residential recycling customers, north of SW 88th Street, will have a new recycling collection day. This change will improve the efficiency, reliability, and resiliency of recycling services for the Miami-Dade Department of Solid Waste Management (DSWM).
Key Details:
- Affected customers will receive a postcard in the mail notifying them of their new recycling collection day for April and May.
- A new recycling calendar for the remainder of 2025 will be mailed in late May.
- Customers who do not receive a postcard will continue with their current collection days. This includes customers living south of SW 88th Street (North Kendall Drive), where recycling days will remain the same.
- Customers can check their recycling collection day by visiting https://gisweb.miamidade.gov/communityservices/.
This change is part of a broader initiative to increase efficiencies in the Department’s operations. The new curbside recycling contracts will incorporate state-of-the-art technology, such as GPS tracking and video capabilities to help curb recycling contamination and enhance resilience in Miami-Dade County.
By refining the collection process, DSWM aims to better serve the community and increase the effectiveness of its curbside recycling program.
