Thousands of volunteers will participate in Baynanza, the largest shoreline cleanup
in South Florida on Saturday, April 12
Residents are invited to be part of the largest shoreline cleanup in South Florida,
the Baynanza Biscayne Bay Cleanup Day on Saturday, April 12, 2025. Now in its 43rd
year, this event brings together the community to help restore and clean Biscayne
Bay’s shoreline at more than 30 locations.
<p>Residents are invited to be part of the largest shoreline cleanup in South Florida,
the <a href="https://www.miamidade.gov/global/service.page?Mduid_service=ser1516206542736138"
target="_blank" rel="noopener">Baynanza</a> Biscayne Bay Cleanup Day on Saturday,
April 12, 2025. Now in its 43<sup>rd</sup> year, this event brings together
the community to help restore and clean Biscayne Bay’s shoreline at more than
30 locations.</p>
<p>The Miami-Dade County Department of Regulatory and Economic Resources, Division
of Environmental Resources Management (RER-DERM) organizes this event with contributions
from sponsors and other County agencies every year in April. Volunteers at all the
sites will receive a free commemorative T-shirt, and community service hours are available
to all students that participate. </p>
<p>Baynanza is Miami-Dade’s way of celebrating the environment and inviting
the community to learn how to protect it while having a great time. Biscayne
Bay Cleanup Day is one of the highlights among many environmental activities that
take place in March and April as part of Baynanza.</p>
