Miami-Dade County cuts ribbon on Pinnacle at Tropical Pointe, South Dade affordable housing development
On May 2, 2025, Miami- Dade County will celebrate the opening of Pinnacle at Tropical Pointe, an affordable housing development by Pinnacle Communities, LLC. The new development, located at 25155 SW 136th Avenue in Homestead, offers 215 apartments for families with incomes ranging from 50% to 60% of the Area Median Income (AMI).
The development features buildings ranging from two to four stories, with one- to four-bedroom apartments designed for families. Its prime location offers easy access to schools, shopping centers, and public transit.
Amenities include modern design features, open-concept floor plans, fully equipped kitchens with energy-efficient appliances, ceiling fans in every room, electric car charging stations, a covered picnic area, playground, cyber room, package room, fitness center, swimming pool, and a community room.
Pinnacle at Tropical Pointe is fully occupied. The project received $15.8 million in SURTAX and HOME funds from the County, and the Miami-Dade County Housing Finance Authority issued $37 million in bonds to support its development.
