Domestic Dispute Resulted In Fatal Shooting
MIAMI-DADE ( April 24, 2025 )–
At approximately 12:46 PM, The Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office (MDSO) Kendall District responded to the area of SW 74 Avenue & SW 45 Street in regards to a shooting.
The preliminary investigation revealed that the subject was involved in a domestic dispute with one of the victims. The subject produced a firearm and shot the first victim. The subject then fired again striking a second victim.
As deputies arrived there was an exchange of gunfire with the subject. The subject was then located suffering from an apparent gunshot wound and was taken into custody.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded and transported both victims and subject to a local hospital. The first victim succumbed to his injuries at the hospital. The second victim is in stable condition. The subject is in critical condition.
MDSO Homicide Bureau detectives and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) investigators responded and assumed the investigation.
No further information at this time. The investigation continues.
